Art at Free Union is a source of constant joy for our students, and we are so lucky to have Courtney leading Art classes again this year. Here are a few words that teacher Courtney Mandryk shared about Art at Free Union.
"In Art, I am teaching the artistic way of being:
we develop our skills,
we try, try again,
we get to dream up new ways of making,
we get to express our true selves,
we get to really deeply observe,
we reflect on our work and celebrate the work of others,
we stretch ourselves bravely,
we look to other artists for more inspiration.
We do this for all ages, with our skills naturally developing over time, and with projects getting more detailed with extended time to work as students get older."
