June

Week of 6/19 - 6/23

Come imagine, create and explore the world of art focusing on hands-on-art-making through painting, printmaking, sculpture, batik and much more! Whether en plein air or in the studio, campers will enjoy a fun-filled week respecting freedom of expression, with emphasis on process, outdoor play and a culminating art show at week's end.

Kick off your summer with Sports Camp by George and Will! Campers will play trash can lacrosse, 3v3 basketball, kickball tennis, 4 goal soccer, and pillow polo. More traditional camp activities like slip’n’slide and ‘full nature trail’ capture the flag will also get thrown into the mix. Sports campers will develop their skills, build confidence, and be part of a team during this memorable week!

Art for the younger ones! Come join us for young artists camp where we will explore different techniques such as painting, drawing, sculpting, and designing. We will make use of many different types of materials as we get messy and creative -- all while enjoying our beautiful campus and wonderful June weather!

Week of 6/26 - 6/30

Explore the exciting world of nature through the eyes and actions of some unforgettable heroes - John Muir, Rachel Carson, John James Audubon, Jane Goodall, and a special surprise hero! Enjoy some good old fashioned summer fun while at the same time practicing your skills of observation, data collection, sketching, and scientific collaboration through games and hands-on activities.

Week of 7/10 - 7/14

Travel the world from the comfort of the wonderful Free Union Country School campus! We will be spending the week exploring Brazil - rainforests, animals, food, language, music, games, capoeira, etc. There will be plenty of time to make friends, play, explore and create in our week long travel camp.

Travel the world from the comfort of the wonderful Free Union Country School campus! We will be spending the week exploring Australia - Great Barrier Reef, animals, food, language, music, games, Aboriginal art etc. There will be plenty of time to make friends, play, explore and create in our week long travel camp.

Our nature trail is a home to a world of whimsy and creative play, as well as a diverse ecosystem! Join us this week as we learn about our forest friends, make fun crafts from natural materials, pretend we are forest animals and explore the wonders of nature.
